Every year-long programme includes a six-month paid internship. Across the three-year bachelor that is three placements.

Gross, at the 2026 Swiss hospitality minimum, before deductions for room, board and social security. BHMS states the net remainder is around CHF 1,500 a month in the countryside with accommodation and meals provided, or roughly CHF 800–1,000 in a big city without them. This is a calculation from published monthly rates, not a figure BHMS publishes as a headline.

BHMS does not publish scholarship or discount terms for the pastry, chocolate and bakery track in the material this site is built from — so this page does not list any. A fee page that invents a scholarship is worse than a fee page that admits it does not know.

What is actually included in the fee?
BHMS publishes each annual fee as five components: tuition, operating costs, living expenses, the application fee, and uniforms and equipment. For the pastry Diploma year those are CHF 29,100 / 2,600 / 5,900 / 1,000 / 500 respectively, totalling CHF 39,100.
Does the internship income really offset the fees?
Partly, and it is worth being precise about it. Three six-month Swiss internships at the CHF 2,390/month gross minimum come to roughly CHF 43,000 gross across the bachelor — but that is gross, before deductions for room, board and social security. BHMS puts the net remainder at around CHF 1,500 a month with employer-provided accommodation and meals, or roughly CHF 800–1,000 in a big city without them. Treat the gross figure as a ceiling, not a cheque.
Are there scholarships or discounts?
